The elegant pioneering design and tough sport style make SAIC MG7 come into vogue among youngsters immediately after launch. Its advanced configurations are remarkable, especially in terms of smart driving. MG7 is equipped with Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) system, which shakes NGP’s exclusive deployment in electric vehicles, bringing a leading NGP driving experience among petrol vehicles at present. This credit is given to Allystar’s “chip-level” high-precision, high-performance navigation and positioning solution applied to the SAIC MG7 which is assembled in the manufacturing plant.

High-precision navigation and positioning technology is the “foundation” of smart driving, which depends on positioning accuracy, sensitivity and reliability. With comprehensive and in-depth evaluations, SAIC MG7 determines to adopt Allystar’s “chip-level” high-precision, high-performance navigation and positioning solution.

SAIC MG7 employs the automotive-grade high-precision positioning module TAU1312A developed by Allystar. Embedded with a self-developed, AEC-Q100 certified CYNOSURE III GNSS SoC chip that complies with IATF16949 and ISO16750, TAU1312A supports high-performance, dual-band multi-system RTK high-precision positioning.

The NGP system equipped with Allystar’s automotive grade high-precision positioning module TAU1312A is capable of driving from Location A to B with a navigation-guided pilot based on the route set by users, covering highways, overpasses, and urban expressways. The system supports automatic lane switching and autonomous going on/off ramps, making users an “experienced driver”.

Allystar’s “chip-level” high-precision, high-performance navigation and positioning modules have been applied to the NGP systems in the MG7 sports sedan and ROEWE “Whale” series SUVs, which benefits from the joint efforts of the R&D teams from Allystar and SAIC Group. This collaboration is the beginning of the future cooperation and development between Allystar and SAIC with common beliefs.

As a leading domestic GNSS satellite navigation and positioning chip-level solution provider, Allystar provides high-precision navigation and positioning solutions based on its core chips, supporting the large-scale application of China’s BeiDou high-precision chips from the source of the industry chain and serving worldwide customers. Through this cooperation, the application of China’s independently-developed BeiDou chips in the NGP system in SAIC MG7 and other series’ assemblies has not only triggered the industry buzz and praise from vehicle fans but also is a significant milestone in the large-scale application of China’s BeiDou high-precision positioning chips. Only by relying on scientific and technological innovation to build an independent and controllable “China’s BeiDou Chip” can the large-scale application of BeiDou go faster and further.
